Alia shares the Best Actress award with Kriti Sanon. The actress took to her social media platforms to thank the film’s director Sanjay Leela BhansaliAnd the crew, and her family, and the audience.

In a message of thanks, Alia dedicated the win to her fans and said that the film would not succeed without them. The actress shared some pictures of herself doing her famous gango pose, and wrote, “To Sanjay sir..to the entire crew..to my family..to my team and last but not least – to my fans..♥ This National Award is for you..because without you there would be no Who is this possible.. seriously!!!


She added, “I am so grateful 🙏.. I don’t take moments like this lightly.. I hope to keep entertaining for as long as possible.. Love and light.. Gango (aka Alia) 🤍🤍🤍 🤍🤍.”

On sharing the National Film Award for Best Actress with Kriti Sanon, who won the award for her performance in Meene, Alia Bhatt wrote, “Note – Kriti…I remember texting you the day I saw Mimi…it was honest and true.” A strong performance.. In Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt played Gangubai, one of the most powerful, likable and respected ladies from Kamathipura during the 1960s. The film also starred Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, Seema Pahwa, Cem Sarbh and Ajay Devgn.
