White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that US President Joe Biden intends to remain in office for a full second term if he is re-elected.

Biden’s performance was so poor in a televised debate with Republican rival Donald Trump two weeks ago that dozens of media outlets, prominent Democrats and major party donors urged him to step down. The 81-year-old refused, insisting he could defeat Trump in November.
