Frontline Report: Ukraine Shows Possibility of Liberating Crimea with Drone Attacks and Landing Operations

First, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that he spoke with the family of the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and confirmed his death.

He also said that he did not believe Putin assassinated Prigozhin because the assassination was very unprofessional for a man like Putin.

Meanwhile, Prigozhin’s Wagner Cemetery is being razed to the ground. A horrified man filmed how all the crosses were removed and said this was disrespectful to the highest standards.

Some Russian sources responded by claiming that the tomb was being renovated and the crosses would be replaced by pyramids. However, other sources indicated that it appears that the ground is being prepared to be covered with concrete.

Regarding yesterday’s Ukrainian special operation, in which several crews raided the Russian military base near Olynyivka, today the head of the Ukrainian intelligence service stated that apart from achieving direct military objectives and increasing the level of control over the Black Sea, the goal of this operation was also to show the Ukrainians the peninsula Crimeans that they have not forgotten and that the Ukrainian forces can actually reach the Crimean coast and land on it.

And we can already see the results of the increased activation of Ukrainian forces in and around Crimea. For example, when the Ukrainians began to launch continuous strikes on Crimea, many Russians who migrated to Crimea began to leave.

When it comes to the landings, the fact that people see that the Ukrainians have the ability to liberate these lands makes more people convinced that helping Ukrainian forces with information or other means, such as sabotage, is not a lost cause, which in turn increases the efficiency of the Ukrainian attacks.

Today, the Ukrainians carried out one of the largest and most successful drone strikes on Crimea.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the Ukrainians launched 42 drones. The drones were launched in two groups, and interestingly, they avoided the area where the Ukrainians had recently destroyed the Russian air defense system.

This means that the Ukrainians knew that the Russians would certainly reinforce the outer edge of the peninsula, inevitably to the detriment of the central region.

That is why when the two groups of drones approached, they split into many smaller groups, and moved in the direction of multiple strategic targets, such as airports, oil depots, and power plants, which confused Russian air defense operators as to which target to prioritize.

Russian sources stated that the air defense shot down only 9 drones. Russian sources claimed that all other drones were successfully intercepted using electronic warfare systems, although it was noted that several intercepted drones still fell on the territory of military bases and damaged several trucks.

Ukrainian sources reported that several drones successfully passed all Russian air defense systems and hit an ammunition depot, a warehouse with equipment, as well as a personnel stationing area.

Local residents reported that many soldiers were taken to hospitals in Simferopol.

Explosions were also heard in Hvardiski, which means the Ukrainians likely hit multiple bases in one night.

However, the Ukrainians did not stop in the Crimea. On the same night, several groups of drones were launched towards Moscow.

It turned out that the main target of the strike became another strategic airfield with Russian Tu-22m3 bombers, which the Russians use to launch missiles at Ukrainian cities.

The footage shows that the Russian air defense shot down several drones directly above the airport.

Moreover, Russian sources reported that the Ukrainians fired a modified S-200 ballistic missile, which was said to have been shot down in the Kaluga region.

In general, the locals filmed a lot of explosions around the airport, so we’ll see if any drones managed to damage the bombers or other planes at the base.
