Millions of wages deprived… Frenchman Mendy sues Manchester City | Sporting

Frenchman Benjamin Mendy has filed a lawsuit against his former club Manchester City, accusing them of unpaid wages worth millions of euros, the British newspaper The Sun reported yesterday.

The action was brought before the UK Labor Court and concerned “unauthorized deductions from wages”.

The newspaper quoted Mendy’s lawyer (29) as saying, “As of September 2021, Manchester City has not paid Mendy’s wages. After he was acquitted of all charges for various crimes, we demanded that his wages be paid. His contract expires in June 2023.”

Mindy was found not guilty of rape and attempted sexual assault earlier this year.

Mendy’s last appearance in the Premier League was Manchester City’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021.

Mendy’s activities were suspended for more than two years, but the former Marseille and Monaco player resumed his football career with French side Lorient just five days after his acquittal.
