Jonathan Taylor may be one step away from fulfilling his wish, but time is of the essence. The Indianapolis Colts gave Taylor until Tuesday to find a suitable deal after allowing the star to return earlier this week to deal with other teams in search of a business partner. Six teams inquired about Taylor’s availability, and two of them have fielded the Colts with offers, including the Miami Dolphins, a source told ESPN on Wednesday.

The situation remains fluid, and it’s not clear if the team is willing to meet the Colts’ trade requirements, which sources describe as a first-round pick or a package of similarly valuable picks.

The New York Jets agreed to trade wide receiver Denzel Mims to the Detroit Lions. The Lions also get a seventh-round pick for 2025 in the deal, while the Jets get a conditional sixth-round pick for 2025, according to the source. Mims was later waived by the Lions a month after his acquisition. Mims sustained an ankle injury during recent training camp and then suffered a calf injury while rehab, a source confirmed to ESPN’s Rich Cimini. Mims will become an unrestricted free proxy.
