The Israeli army’s rear said alerts were sounded at 129 locations in the greater Tel Aviv area and along the coast.
Al Jazeera reporters explained that the sirens were heard over a wide area, from Ashdod in the south to Herzliya in the north, across the greater Tel Aviv area.

The Qassam Brigades said the explosion was in response to massacres targeting civilians.
Al Jazeera reporters said the rockets were fired from the southern Gaza Strip, which means they flew about 90 kilometers.
