WWE Raw winners and scores

Damien Priest Dev. Sami Zayn

WWE announced a Tag TeamTISI Championship match pitting Zayn and Owens against Finn Balor and Damien Priest this Saturday at Payback.

JD McDonagh stepped in and helped Priest win. The priest pushed McDonagh and told him to stay away from his work. Even Michael Cole seemed annoyed while again emphasizing that the priest didn’t want McDonagh’s help.

The Miz wears an LA Knight outfit

Similar to his The Rock impression, The Miz ripped off The Miz by dressing up as L.A. Knight, and later switched to dressing up as L.A. Knight as he ripped off The Rock and Steve Austin.

The Miz compared “Yeah” LA Knight to “What,” as if MizTV hadn’t been stolen from Piper’s Pit. Really cool heel.

The Miz came out like a tantrum from WWE over the popularity of LA Knight.

Even though Wade Barrett is a hated commentator, he’s a fan of L.A. Knight and is supporting Knight against The Miz before Saturday’s Payback match.

Viking Raiders drive. The new day

Backstage, Matt Riddle showed Drew McIntyre a demonstration of McIntyre in Riddle-like gear. It doesn’t sound half bad. Riddle even bothered to wear a kilt to the ring, which would be an upgrade from his shorts.

This week’s team pun given to Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle – seated ringside – is McRiddle. It’s the best word game yet.

Similar to Riddle and Randy Orton, the longer McIntyre and Riddle were together, the less I wanted to break up. Riddle had similar chemistry with Pete Dunne (Butch), Timothy Thatcher, and Orton. Riddle is Frank’s wrestling red hot. It goes with everything.

Cole and Barrett constantly referred to Eric and Ivar as “Raiders”.

Memphis, Tennessee, rained down on Woods with cheers of “Shout this trick,” in the spirit of the classic movie set in Tennessee. Congestion and flow.

Ivar drove Kofi Kingston into Riddle and McIntyre, causing McIntyre to start throwing office chairs into the ring, and then (accidentally) into Xavier Woods.

Behind the scenes, Rhea Ripley threatened that if Judgment Day didn’t come out with gold, there would be some changes.

New Day vs Viking Raiders Grade: B

Chad Gabel Dave. Ludwig Kaiser via DQ

Chad Gable cut an adorable adorable face promo on IMPERIUM and Ludwig Kaiser to match Gunther’s heel show.

Wade Barrett noted that if Chad Gable removed the “catchy phrases and silliness”, Gable would fit in perfectly with IMPERIUM. Barrett was basically saying that Gable needed to make himself more general to join the group.

The very long match eventually ended in disqualification when Giovanni Vinci interfered.

Gunter attempted to finish Gable with a flash grenade, but Gable countered with an ankle lock. Gunther then puts Gable up once and for all after pushing his stablemates aside. I’m not interested in seeing Gable challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, WWE has done nothing to convince me he has a shot at this long segment.

Seth Rollins calls out Shinsuke Nakamura

Seth Rollins paid tribute to Bray Wyatt with the “Yowie Wowie” reference.

Rollins said fans no longer sing Shinsuke Nakamura’s song. If WWE played Shinsuke’s song, I guarantee you they would.

WWE aired another very good video package of Shinsuke Nakamura, this time with Nakamura training while threatening to injure Rollins so bad he wouldn’t be able to take his daughter to her wedding day.

Rollins asked what happened to Shinsuke Nakamura who was headlining the Tokyo Dome. It was a spirited promo that was cut short by another sneak attack from Nakamura. WWE played Nakamura’s music afterward, and yes, fans sang along.

Rollins Nakamura Grade: B+

Tommaso Ciampa Defender. Bronson Reid

In a rare act of indifference, this match started without Tommaso Ciampa or Bronson Reed getting through.

Bronson Reed dominated much of this match, but Tommaso Ciampa came back and pulled off a shock win in the end. These two are capable of great matches together, and even great feuds, but WWE needs to show they care before anyone else.

Ciampa vs. Reed Grade: B-

Rhea Ripley calls out Raquel Rodriguez

Tiffany Stratton was sitting front row promoting WWE NXTXT tomorrow.

Dominic Mysterio didn’t say a word during Rhea Ripley’s promo, saving WWE for at least five minutes.

Fans chanted “Shout this hoax” as Raquel was destroying Rhea Ripley, but I think they were chanting it in support of Rhea.

Unlike Chad Gable, WWE made the challenger look tough when Raquel Rodriguez ran off the grid and ran away.

Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez Grade: C+

Becky Lynch vs. Zoe Stark

There was a funny moment where Trish threw a chair into the ring and accidentally hit Zoe Stark in the face. The venue was obviously off plan but all parties played a great part.

This was primarily a two-man match with Stratus frequently interfering. Stratus eventually escaped with lunch and a kendo stick.
