Artist of the Year Finalists at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards – Billboard

painting On Thursday (August 24), Telemundo announced the finalists for the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Leading the pack of 21 is 24-year-old Beso Bluma, who is competing for Artist of the Year against Carol G, Bad Bunny, and Grupo Frontera, and Fuerza Rigida.

Regional Mexican music has significant representation not only in that category but throughout the entire list, as the genre continues to rise in popularity across the world. Grupo Frontera, Peso and Fuerza Regida are three of the heavy hitters Mexican music They were major players in the global expansion of the genre. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny and Karol G are also nominated for Artist of the Year. The two have been consistently making history over the past three years with their touring and music. Bunny and Carol are the only artists to have all Spanish-language albums top the Billboard 200 all-genre chart in the chart’s history.

Who will win in the Artist of the Year category? You’ll have to tune in live from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida, on Thursday, October 5th. The Awards Ceremony will be broadcast on Telemundo and, at the same time, on Universo, Peacock, the Telemundo app, and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.

Finalists and finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including audio and video airplay, album and single sales, radio airplay and tours, and are tracked by painting and data partner Luminate. This year’s awards are based on the chart period from August 13, 2022 through August 12, 2023.
