Do you have a cold? You are not allowed to do this

German doctor Ivo Grebe warned against exercising when suffering from an infection such as a cold. The risk of developing myocarditis, which is life-threatening, increases.

The German general practitioner explained that the symptoms of myocarditis are:

Heart palpitations.
Arrhythmia.
pain in chest.
Water retention in the legs.
Jariba added that contracting an infection requires complete rest and stopping exercising, taking care not to return to exercising until the symptoms of the infection disappear for about 10 days.

Grebe emphasized that this applies to viral infections (such as colds, influenza, herpes, and measles) and bacterial infections (such as tonsillitis, scarlet fever, diphtheria, and blood poisoning) alike.
