Pakistan recalls ambassador from Iran — RT World News

The dispute erupted between the two neighboring countries in the Middle East due to the attack on Balochistan province, which Islamabad blamed on Tehran.

Islamabad decided to recall its ambassador to Tehran, following an Iranian attack on Pakistani territory overnight. A Foreign Ministry statement described the incident as: 'flagrant violation' It is the sovereignty of the nation that “It has no justification at all.”

Iranian officials did not publicly take credit for these strikes. Tasnim News Agency, owned by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, reported that a group of drone and missile attacks destroyed the bases of a group known internationally as the Army of Justice.

The armed group, which Tehran considers a terrorist organization, seeks the independence of the Pakistani province of Balochistan. There were reports of a series of explosions on Tuesday night in the city of Panjjor, near the Iranian border. The Baloch people live mostly in Iran and Pakistan, with significant diaspora numbers in Afghanistan and Oman.

The ministerial statement stated that in addition to summoning its diplomat, Pakistan refused to allow his Iranian counterpart to return to Islamabad after his current trip to his country. All high-level bilateral visits have been suspended.

Islamabad said it reserves the right to respond to the incident, and holds Tehran fully responsible for escalating tensions.

A previous Pakistani statement claimed that two children were killed in the raids.

The diplomatic dispute occurred a day after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched air strikes targeting Iraq and Syria. The paramilitary organization claims it was targeting Israeli spies and terrorists from the Islamic State (ISIS, formerly ISIS) in retaliation for recent attacks on Iranian forces.

Commenting on these attacks on Wednesday, Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiyan said that there were attacks “no limits” Regarding the measures that the country will take to protect its national security.

Some reports in the Iranian press initially claimed that the attacks in Pakistan were carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, but this attribution later disappeared.
