“The best dance of my life…the only dance of my life”

Mariska Hargitay shared an old photo of her wedding night with her husband, Peter Herrmann, on the couple’s 19th anniversary.

The 59-year-old actress — who participated in the Joyful Heart Foundation’s fourth annual Joyful Heart Walk earlier this month — shared her first dance with her husband of 56 years from their Aug. 28, 2004 wedding.

’19 years. The best dance of my life. “The only dance of my life,” Hargitay captioned the photo, while tagging photographer Lara Burzak.

The happy couple tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, two years after meeting on the set of her hit NBC series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Herrmann was cast in a recurring role as defense attorney Trevor Langan in 2002, and the couple married two years later.

They have three children – 17-year-old son Auguste, 12-year-old daughter Amaya and 12-year-old son Andrew – the latter couple adopted in 2011.

Hargitay is also godmother to one of her longtime co-star Sofia Christopher Meloni’s daughters.

The actress recently made headlines for attending the stop of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in LA with her daughter, Amaya.

She shared a number of snaps on Instagram of her, Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, and Selena Gomez at the SoFi Stadium show.

“I am still in the twilight of the most magical night.” “My deepest gratitude to taylorswift for your hair and wisdom,” Hargitay began.

Hargitay added, “You inspire and connect us with our sensitive tenderness, joy, hope, strength – and most of all, our desire to live and love bravely.”

Hargitay concluded, “Thank you, Taylor, for everything you do and everything you do”, with Hargitay attending the show making the news for a different reason.

Swift named her cat Olivia Benson, after Hargitay’s beloved character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, in which she played for 24 seasons.

One of Hargitay’s charm bracelets at the ceremony even had the name “Olivia Benson” written on it, perhaps a tribute to the singer’s cat and longtime personality.

As for Herrmann, he has recurred as Trevor Langan for over 20 years, appearing in 35 episodes of the hit series.

He most recently appeared in an episode of HBO’s And Just Like That… and has had a recurring role on CBS’s Blue Bloods for over a decade.

He also played Charles Brooks in 75 episodes of the hit TV series Younger.
