Wallace (2 tackles, 30 yards) extended his body for 15 yards on Baltimore’s opening drive and also handled the punt return in this game to cap off a strong pre-season for the third-year wide receiver. The Ravens are expected to retain six wide receivers, and Wallace appears to have done everything he can to secure a spot on the roster. He looks like a wide receiver, and remains a regular on special teams.

After missing the first two pre-season games, Armor-Davis was healthy enough to start, which was a plus for him. However, there were several plays he’d like to win back, including two completions he gave up on a 94-yard Tampa Bay run in the first quarter. The time Armor-Davis has wasted since training camp began has been costly, as other corners like Kevon Seymour and Ardarius Washington have taken it a step further by playing well.

Although guarding is his primary position, Vallely took shots at left tackle and didn’t look uncomfortable doing so. The Ravens love a versatile offensive lineman, and if Faalele can become a viable backup player at left tackle, that would take some responsibility off Patrick Mekari, the Ravens’ backup who can play all five offensive line positions.

Phillips made a sweet tackle on the open field to end Tampa Bay’s first drive, and led the Ravens with eight tackles. Phillips may be in the roster bubble, but he came in when he got his chance at the linebacker position while remaining a standout on special teams.

Stout averaged 51.6 yards on five punts, including a well-placed 55-yard kick touchdown with a turnover back and pinning the Buccaneers at their own 6-yard line. Stout said he’s going to be more relaxed in his sophomore season and he’s looked that way this summer. If Stout becomes more consistent, it will make Baltimore’s already strong special teams play even stronger.

It’s been a solid summer overall for a sixth-round pick, but Aumavae-Laulu has had some tough shots as he allows defensive linemen to quickly break through into the backfield or bull rush the running back. John Simpson because he won the starting left guard competition, coach John Harbaugh announced after the game.

The Browns (12-for-21, 171 yards, 4 sacked) came in with 11:20 left in the second quarter, played the remainder of the game and almost led to the comeback victory. He had a rocky start when he lost a fumble on his first drive after a sweet scramble. Turning the ball over is the last thing a backup quarterback wants to do. However, there were several moments when the offensive line didn’t do much for Brown, and he made some great tackles to avoid passive play. Brown led a great fourth quarter touchdown drive and has potential as a young quarterback. However, in a crowded backup quarterback rivalry, the experience advantage Huntley and Johnson had over the Browns showed.
