Turkish Bar Association intends to sue Israel Free Press at ICC

The Second Bar Association of the Turkish capital Ankara has announced its intention to file a judicial complaint against… international criminal court in the Netherlands on “Israeli crimes in Palestine”.

“Thousands of Palestinians, led by children and women, are victims of Israeli attacks on Gaza,” Sabri Hafif, chairman of the alliance, said at an event in Ankara yesterday.

Hafif described Israel’s attacks on Gaza civilians as “genocide.”

He also criticized the international community’s “silence” over Palestinian human rights violations.

He stressed that the union would file a case with the International Criminal Court “in the context of the boycott of Israeli attacks.”

He continued: “Crime is taking place in Gaza in full view of the world.”

He expressed hope that the ICC would respond to their complaints and take action to prosecute those responsible for Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

On the 45th day, the Israeli army launched a devastating war against Gaza, killing more than 13,000 martyrs, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, and injuring more than 30,000 people, 75% of whom were children and women. An immediate ceasefire was announced for humanitarian reasons amid calls for an international investigation into the Israeli attack.
