The Israeli Defense Forces destroyed landmarks and tore Palestinian flags after taking control of the border crossing on the border between Gaza and Egypt.
The Israeli army attacked Palestinian landmarks after taking control of the Rafah border crossing earlier this week, deliberately running them over with tanks, according to disturbing footage circulating online.
The damage shown in the footage appears to have been caused by tanks belonging to the Israeli 401st Railway Brigade, which entered the Rafah crossing on Tuesday morning.
The border crossing connects the Palestinian Strip with Egypt.
A video clip circulating on the Internet, filmed by a member of a Merkava tank crew, shows the vehicle maneuvering in front of an “I Love Gaza” sign at the crossing. The tank then aims at the sign and runs over it.
