iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max: What to expect from the upcoming iPhone Pro devices

The two devices are said to come with the new and powerful A17 Bionic chipset. Meanwhile, non-professional iPhone 15 phones are expected to come with the A16 Bionic chipset released last year. This first-generation Apple Bionic chip is engineered using a 3nm process which makes it battery efficient.

The new iPhone 15 Pro phones are expected to start with 256GB of internal storage and can support up to 2TB of storage. Older iPhones have a maximum of 6GB of RAM, while the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max could be the first phones with 8GB of RAM.

The iPhone 15 Pro may have a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have a more prominent 6.7-inch screen. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is also expected to sport a larger 4,852mAh battery pack compared to the 3,650mAh battery pack in the iPhone 15 Pro.

The two phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon X70 chipset for better AI performance, faster 5G speeds, and better power efficiency.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are confirmed to ship with Type C charging and a single solid-state action button, which is nothing more than a physical switch that can be programmed to perform user-selected actions.

The camera setup on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max may be slightly different. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have a periscope zoom module with up to 6x optical zoom. Both phones may come with an upgraded LiDAR sensor as well.

However, the camera module on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to be a little sharper to accommodate the periscope lens and more powerful sensors.

With the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple has set out to create a distinct difference between every iPhone. While the base variants are more affordable, they come with SoCs that are at least one generation old.

Similarly, the two Pro phones were similar, with the larger screen size being the only major difference. However, with the iPhone 15, Apple wants to introduce a phone with the maximum in the form of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. It will have a bigger battery, clearer screen and better camera module.

So, if you don’t want to compromise on these features and want the most powerful iPhone, buying the iPhone 15 Pro Max would be perfect.

However, if you want a phone with the most powerful mobile chipset, great camera performance, and a flagship experience at a slightly cheaper price, you can choose the iPhone 15 Pro.
