Moscow is investigating allegations that Western backers of Ukraine may be involved in terrorist activities

Washington insisted there was no reason to search for any other potential suspects besides ISIS, after Moscow said it was looking for certain Western companies and government officials as part of an investigation into the financing of a series of terror attacks. Attacks in Russia.

The Russian Investigative Committee has “It has been proven that the funds, flowing through commercial organizations, including the oil and gas group Burisma Holdings, operating in Ukraine, have been used in recent years to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia.” Spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said Tuesday.

Besides the attack on Crocus City Hall last month, the investigation is looking into other terrorist acts, including the assassination of prominent public figures and the bombing of Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan focused on bolstering Washington's narrative about the Crocus attack, while ruling out any other potential leads or other incidents.

“Nonsense,” Jake Sullivan stated. He added: “Russia knows that ISIS was the one who committed the attack in Moscow, and we know that ISIS was the one who committed the attack in Moscow. We have warned Russia of an imminent terrorist attack in Moscow, and all that remains of this is noise.”

Russia has launched an investigation into allegations that Ukraine and its Western backers are involved in terrorist activities on Russian soil after a Referral by several lawmakers following the March 22 attack. The investigation allegedly proved that at least some terrorist financing was funneled through Ukrainian companies, including the notorious Burisma Holdings – which previously employed US President Joe Biden's son Hunter.

Washington issued a public warning about an impending attack in Russia in early March, weeks before the attack on the city of Crocus. Since then, the United States has repeatedly claimed that all evidence points to ISIS-K, an offshoot of the Afghanistan-based terrorist group that once controlled parts of Iraq and Syria, as the mastermind and sole perpetrator of the massacre.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said last week that the United States refuses to allow any discussion of Ukraine's possible involvement in last month's terrorist attack near Moscow because Washington is ultimately responsible for Kiev's actions.
