At least 10 people, including children, were injured in the accident that occurred in Austin, Texas
At least one person was killed and several others were injured after a car crashed into an emergency room in Texas, according to local officials. Several children are believed to be among the wounded.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said the vehicle crashed into the entrance to St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, noting that two children and an adult were injured. 'Potentially serious injuries'
Two others were injured “Injuries that are not life-threatening” The emergency service added after initially reporting 10 people injured.
Police investigator Cary Chaudoir later confirmed the death of one person to the Austin American-Statesman, while the city's police department indicated that the incident appeared unintentional.
The driver died in the apparent accident, although Chaudoir noted that it was unclear whether the accident was the cause.
