Japan uses Hiroshima and Nagasaki to chide Russia — RT World News
Tokyo's deputy envoy to the United Nations took advantage of the double atomic bombing to detonate Moscow's “nuclear rhetoric.”

“As the only country to suffer atomic bombing during the war, Japan will never accept Russian nuclear threats, let alone any use of nuclear weapons. The disasters of Hiroshima and Nagasaki must never be repeated.” She stressed without naming the responsible country.
The United States exploded two atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in early August 1945, killing between 129,000 and 226,000 people, most of them civilians. The bombing remains the only example in human history in which nuclear weapons were used in combat. For decades, US presidents have refused to apologize for this tragedy.
In a similar context, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida delivered a speech before the US Congress on Thursday, in which he rebuked Russia for what it had done. “I continue[ing] To threaten to use nuclear weapons, which contributed to raising global concern about the possibility of another catastrophe occurring as a result of the use of nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that apparent attempts to downplay the US role in the atomic bombing of Japan and falsely include Russia in the narrative were just that. “A classic example of fake news and misinformation.”
Despite speculation in the West that Russia might resort to the nuclear option against Ukraine, officials in Moscow have repeatedly stressed that Russia will not use its nuclear arsenal unless its very existence is at stake, stressing that a nuclear war should never be fought.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said last month that Russia is “We are prepared for a nuclear war from a military and technical perspective.” He went on to rule out the use of tactical nuclear weapons against Kiev's forces, stating that there was never a need for such drastic measures.
